About the Area

View Online Visitor's Guide. In addition the Blue Water Area Convention & Visitors Bureau hosts information about area activities and opportunities.

For the fishing and boating enthusiast state-managed boat launch in Lexington is ten miles north of the park. The Port Huron State Game Area is within a 15 minute drive and provides opportunities for hiking year round and hunting in season. For the shopper, Birchwood Mall is about five miles south of the park.

Swimming: Beach is for registered campers only. The beach at the day-use areas is open to the general public.

Concession/ Store: Simple Adventures – located in the north campground – sells food, souvenirs, camping supplies, park-specific clothing, ice cream, candy, firewood and more.
Electrical Service Item is accessible.
Electrical Service: Lakeport Modern Campground provides 20amp and 30amp service.
Mini Cabin Item is accessible.
Mini Cabin: There are two mini cabins located withnin the campground named White Pine Cabin and Cedar Cabin. The cabins are designed to sleep four people, with bunks and mattresses provided. The cabins each have electricity and lights. The cabins have recently been remodeled with new ceramic tile floors, new paint, new mattresses and new handmade wood furniture. Each cabin has a paved parking area with a picnic table and firepit on site.
