Bass River Recreation Area is located along the Grand River between Grand Rapids and Grand Haven in Ottawa County. The park features 3.5 miles of river frontage, and is a popular destination for boating, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and hunting.

More than 10 miles of trails traverse varied habitats and are open to hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, horseback riding and mountain biking.

Boat Launch: A gravel boat launch (no courtesy pier) provides access to Max Lake and the south bank of the Grand River from the 104th Avenue/Bass River Road entrance. A boating access site (with courtesy pier) provides access to the south banks of the Grand River from the Lincoln Street/South Cedar Drive entrance.
