This looped pathway encircles Pickerel Lake and winds along a cedar swamp. It is located in the Pigeon River Country State Forest has 1.9 miles of trail open to hiking and mountain biking. This pathway is managed by Otsego Lake State Park.

The Pickerel Lake Pathway is a 1.9 -mile looped footpath that encircles Pickerel Lake and winds along a cedar swamp. The trail climbs through deep woods and provides a scenic lookout where visitors will be able to see miles of hills and forested ridges. There is also a birds-eye-view of Pickerel Lake State Forest Campground. Visitors can stop and take a swim in Pickerel Lake, admire the large pines or stop for a picnic with a view all along the trail.
