More Information
Young State Park is situated on the eastern shore of beautiful Lake Charlevoix, just outside Boyne City. The park spans 563 acres and is a mix of gently rolling terrain, lowlands and cedar swamp. There are three modern campgrounds, overnight lodging facilities, a boat launch, a popular swimming beach, a picnic area, 6.5 miles of trails and more.
The park was established in 1921, and the day-use building was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.
From the park, visitors can access the Boyne City to Charlevoix Trail. The soon-to-be-completed, nonmotorized 14-mile trail links the city of Charlevoix with the cities of Petoskey and Harbor Springs.
