Lake Margrethe State Forest Campground
Situated on the shore of Lake Margrethe, this rustic campground offers great opportunities for paddle sports and fishing. Located in Crawford County, 6.6 miles west of Grayling.

This rustic campground features a lakefront picnic area and great opportunities for fishing and paddling. The campground is heavily wooded and most of the campsites have direct access to the lake. The Manistee River and Au Sable River are nearby and offer excellent canoeing and fishing opportunities. There are numerous canoe liveries available in the Grayling area.
There are 37 sites for tent, small trailer and large trailer use. There are 9 walk-in sites that require you to hike in from a designated trailhead. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 6.6 miles west of Grayling via M-72 West, McIntyres Landing Road, Regimental Way and Euclid Avenue. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.
