Walsh Road Equestrian State Forest Campground and Trail Camp
This rustic campground, shaded by a beautiful jack pine forest, is located in Crawford County 21.4 miles northwest of Mio.

Surrounded by tall jack pines, this rustic equestrian campground is located adjacent to the Shore-to-Shore Trail, a 420-mile trail system open to hiking and horseback riding. The trail stretches east-west from Empire to Oscoda with two additional northern and southern spur trails.
The facility accommodates tents and trailers and includes vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. There also is a submersible pump that requires a 5000-watt generator. Maximum capacity is 40 individuals. Group rates apply at this site: $6 per person per night if camping with a horse or $15 per night for a group of 6 people. The campground is located 21.4 miles northwest of Mio via M-33 North, West Miller Road and Walsh Road.Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.
