Situated on the shore of Pickerel Lake, this rustic campground offers great opportunities for paddle sports and fishing. Located in Kalkaska County, 4.5 miles northwest of Oscoda.

This campground is managed by Hartwick Pines State Park.

This rustic campground is sits on the shore of Pickerel Lake and offers excellent boating, paddling and fishing opportunities. The campground is shaded with hardwoods and beautiful birch trees.

There are 13 sites for tent and small trailer use. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 13.5 miles north of Kalkaska via County Road 612 and Sunset Trail Road.Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.

Fishing: Panfish, bass and pike are caught in Pickerel Lake. Nearby fishing opportunities include Big Twin lake (1 mile north) and Manistee Lake (4 miles southwest).
