Emily Lake State Forest Campground
Shaded by large conifer and hemlock trees, this rustic campground sits along the southern shore of Emily Lake. Located in Houghton County, 3.8 miles south of Twin Lake.

This quaint, rustic campground is shaded by large conifers and hemlock trees and offers picturesque views of Emily Lake. It is also located near theBill Nicholls Trail, which provides 41 miles of trail open to a variety of recreational activities. Emily Lake offers excellent fishing opportunities. There is a ramp within the campground to access the 54-acre lake.
There are 9 sites for tent and small trailer use. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 3.8 miles south of Twin Lake via M-26 South and Emily Lake Road. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.
Additional travel information: For visitors following a GPS route along M-38, the map may suggest Pike Lake Road as the shortest route; however the road is primarily gravel. To avoid excessive travel gravel roads, travel via highway from M-38 to M-26 to Emily Lake Road.
