Metal Detecting: Metal detecting is recognized as a legitimate recreation activity when it is conducted in ways that neither damage natural and cultural resources in Michigan state parks nor violate applicable state statutes. This park map clearly shows where this activity is allowed to take place. Any items found must be reviewed by park staff and may be retained for further investigation. Areas located within the campground are limited to registered campers only.

Paddling: There are paddling opportunities on Mullett Lake and along the Inland Waterway.

Snowmobiling: The North Eastern State Trail, located in the east side of the park, is open to snowmobiling Dec. 1-March 31.

Boat Launch Item is accessible.
Boat Launch: A boating access site, located in the campground and open to the public, provides access to Mullett Lake from the park’s boat basin. The lake is Michigan’s fourth-largest inland lake and the central point for the Inland Waterway, a chain of rivers and lakes that offers 38 miles of boating and paddling.

Fish Cleaning Station: There is a fish-cleaning station located in the park’s boating access site parking lot, near the east end of the boat basin.

Picnic Shelter: There is a picnic shelter located in the day-use area that includes picnic tables, charcoal grills, electrical service (reservations only) and modern toilets. Shelter reservations can be made 12 months in advance at MiDNRReservations.com.

Playground: There are swings and a volleyball court near the entrance of the park.

Sanitation Station: The park’s sanitation station is located at the entrance of the campground. There is potable water available and two lanes.
