Scheck's Place Trail Camp
This equestrian group campground is surrounded by tall oaks and pines. Located adjacent to Scheck's Place State Forest Campground in Grand Traverse County, just 12 miles southwest of Williamsburg.

This sunny, open-group campground is surrounded by tall oaks and pines. It is home to a group area designed for use by equestrian campers riding the Shore-to-Shore Trail, a 420-mile trail system open to hiking and horseback riding, that stretches east-west from Empire to Oscoda with two additional northern and southern spur trails. The nearby North Country Trail and Boardman River provide excellent hiking and fishing opportunities.
This campground has a maximum capacity of 200 people. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. There is also a submersible pump that requires a 5,000 watt generator. The campground is located adjacent to Scheck's Place State Forest Campground and 12 miles southwest of Williamsburg via Williamsburg Road, Supply Road and Brown Bridge Road.
