Scheck's Place State Forest Campground
This rustic campground sits on the banks of the Boardman River. Located in Grand Traverse County, just 12 miles southwest of Williamsburg.

This lush, shaded campground sits on the banks of the Boardman River offering excellent paddling, fishing and bird watching opportunities. There are 30 sites for tent and small trailer use. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 12 miles southwest of Williamsburg via Williamsburg Road, Supply Road and Brown Bridge Road. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.

Shore-to-Shore Trail
This state forest campground is a stop along the Shore-to-Shore Trail, a 420-mile trail system open to hiking and horseback riding, that stretches east-west from Empire to Oscoda with two additional northern and southern spur trails.
