Little Wolf Lake State Forest Campground

Following the severe ice storms in northern Michigan, this state forest campground is temporarily closed while staff assess damage and conduct necessary cleanup. Similarly, state-managed trails in the 12 affected counties are also under a short-term closure for assessment and cleanup. This rustic campground overlooks Little Wolf Lake. Located in Montmorency County, 3 miles southeast of Lewiston.

This campground is managed by Otsego Lake State Park.

This rustic campground offers excellent fishing and paddling opportunities. There are 24 sites for tent, small trailer and large trailer use. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 3 miles southeast of Lewiston via County Road 489 and Wolf Lake Road. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.

Fishing

Fishing: Panfish are caught in Little Wolf Lake. Other nearby fishing opportunities include East Twin Lake (1 mile northwest) and West Twin Lake (3 miles northwest).

Hunting

Hunting: This campground provides access to state land open to hunting. Firearm hunting is not allowed within 450 feet of an occupied dwelling. Learn more about hunting.
