Paddling: Canoe or kayak one of the Michigan’s longest, undeveloped rivers. This river starts at Manistique Lake and flows southwesterly more than 70 miles, emptying into Lake Michigan at the city of Manistique. Suitable for paddlers of all skill levels, this twisty, sandy bottom natural river has depths ranging between two to ten feet. Outfitters in Germfask offer rental equipment for the non-boat owner and shuttle services for the boat owner.
