The modern campground is bordered by the historic Clam Lake Canal and Lake Cadillac. There are several loops, a playground and access to Lake Cadillac. There are many mature trees throughout the campground, and several campsites are situated on the canal.

Boat Rental Item is accessible.
Boat Rental: Kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals are available at the campground contact station via the Friends of Mitchell State Park. All proceeds benefit park projects and programs. Hours vary by season. For more info, call 231-775-7911.

Swimming: A designated swim area on Lake Cadillac is in the campground.

Boat Launch: In the campground, there is a campers-only boating access site and an accessible kayak launch that access Lake Cadillac.

Concession/ Store: Firewood and ice are available for sale at the campground office.

Electrical Service: All sites have either 20-, 30- or 50-amp service.

Fishing Pier: There are two accessible fishing piers in the campground, one on at the end of the canal and another on Lake Cadillac.
