Stretching 33.4 miles between Kalamazoo and South Haven in southwest Michigan, the trail rests on an abandoned railroad bed constructed in 1871. The converted rail-trail winds through gorgeous scenery including wooded areas, farmlands, streams and rivers.

Biking: The trail is made of a limestone/slag surface and, while the trail is open to many types of bicycles, road bikes are not recommended.
Cross Country Ski Item is accessible.
Cross Country Ski: Cross-county skiing is allowed on the trail; however, the trails are not groomed. Please note that snowmobiling is allowed during the winter.

Snowmobiling: During the winter, the trail is open to snowmobiling Dec. 1 to March 31, and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.
