The 5-mile, out-and-back trail, considered a rail-trail, goes through the park. It provides an overlook of the lake and goes through prairie grasses, rolling hills, forested areas and wetlands.
This part of the park is open all year; however, portions are open to hunting during certain times of the year.
The trailhead is located in the parking lot off of Arnold Road. Plans to extend the trail from Manchester to Brooklyn are underway.
