A 10-foot-wide, paved trail starts in the day-use area and connects to the Huron Sunrise Trail near the park entrance.
The Huron Sunrise Trail is an 11-mile, paved trail connecting Rogers City to Hoeft State Park, 40 Mile Point Lighthouse and miles of unspoiled Lake Huron shoreline. It follows the Lake Huron shoreline from the Rogers City Little League Park to 40 Mile Point Lighthouse, with a 1-mile spur into the Herman Vogler Recreation Area.

There are two designated swim areas, including one in the park’s day-use area and another located off the campground, via a short trail located between sites #21 and 23.

Facilities (Display as List)

An accessible playground, located just outside the modern campground, sits on a rubberized surface that makes access easier for those of all mobility levels. There’s a small parking lot across from sites #2-4.
A sand volleyball court is located between the playground and Lake Huron, via a trail near site #7.

Enjoy about a mile of sandy shoreline stretching along Lake Huron.
Please be mindful of Great Lakes beach safety and high-water safety. Pay attention to the beach flag warning system in designated swim areas; red flags indicate the water is unsafe and no one should swim in or enter the water.
