Winter Camping Item is accessible.
Winter Camping:

Portions of the Lower Falls Hemlock campground loop are plowed and reservable in winter. The campground loop is considered semi-modern, as it offers electricity, vault toilets and an all-season water spigot near site #136 for filling jugs. View winter camping map.

The Portage campground loop is open for hike-in camping during winter. The campground loop is about a mile walk from the parking area. Registration is first come, first served using the self-registration system at the Lower Falls Modern campground office.

Concession/ Store:

Firewood is available for sale by a vendor at both campground entrances for a few hours daily, in season. Additionally there is a firewood vending machine available 24 hours a day at the campground office.

Park concessions are available seasonally at the Lower Falls day-use area, including a café, a gift shop and canoe/row boat rentals.

Electrical Service: All sites have 30-amp service, and some 50-amp sites are available.
Modern Restrooms Item is accessible.
Modern Restrooms: Modern restrooms are available seasonally, typically open mid-May through mid-October. In the Lower Falls Portage campground loop, an ADA-accessible modern restroom and shower building with six showers, toilets and a family restroom is available. In the Lower Falls Hemlock campground loop, a restroom and showers are available.
Playground Item is accessible.
Playground: There are small playgrounds in each loop of the modern campground. In the Hemlock campground loop, there are swings and a slide on a sandy surface. In the Portage campground loop, there is a play structure on a woodchipped surface.
Sanitation Station Item is accessible.
Sanitation Station: There is a sanitation station located at the Lower Falls campground entrance, open seasonally mid-May to mid-October. There is potable water available and two lanes. A $10 fee will be assessed for those not camping at Tahquamenon Falls.
