More Information
The Tobico Lagoon Trail, located in the Bay City Recreation area, is a short, interpretive trail that wanders through wetlands and encircles inland lakes. The trail includes two loops, one 0.9-mile loop and another 0.45-mile loop (Chickadee Nature Trail) both of which are perfect for a quick, afternoon nature hike. The 0.45-mile trail is composed of paved pathways that circle the Lakeplain Prairie and features a handful of colorful displays along the way. The 0.9-mile loop encircles Tobico Lagoon and eventually leads to a boardwalk that crosses the marsh’s outlet into Saginaw Bay. Hiking is the only activity allowed on this trail.
