Brighton-Equestrian Trail
Brighton Recreation Area
More Information
The park is home to 21 miles of equestrian trails, featuring forested areas, thick hedgerows, grassy marshes and open spaces. The trail ranges from flat and smooth to hilly and rocky. There are several loops that are bisected by country roads and a small stream crossing. For a longer ride, keep heading out on the outlying western loops.
Easy-to-read signage is posted throughout the entire trail system.
All park trails pass through lands open to hunting.
The trails are immediately accessible from the Brighton Equestrian Campground or the equestrian staging area, which are large enough to accommodate all sizes of trucks and trailers.
The staging area is outfitted with picket posts, an electric water supply, a manure pit, a vault toilet, a mounting block, a pavilion, picnic tables and a grill.
Brighton Recreation Area Riding Stable offers trail riding for groups of all sizes and skill levels.
The trails and staging area are maintained with the help of the Brighton Trail Riders Association.
