The 8-mile Torn Shirt Trail features oak prairie, kettle ponds, glacial erratics (glacially deposited rocks differing from the type of rocks native to the area) and up-and-down terrain.
Trailhead parking is located at Bishop Lake day-use area. The trailhead serves multiple trails, so your route can easily be adjusted for a variety of lengths and terrain difficulty.
Bikers should note that the trail is single-track, which means it only moves in one direction. The route is considered more difficult due to the rough terrain.
