Wilderness-North Country Trail
Wilderness State Park
More Information
The boundaries of Wilderness State Park contain more than 8 miles of the North Country National Scenic Trail.
The trail enters the park at its southern boundary near the north shore of Wycamp Lake, then meanders north until it intersects with Sturgeon Bay Trail. From that point, the NCT follows the route of Sturgeon Bay Trail to South Boundary Trail to Swamp Line Trail to Pond Side Trail to Red Pine Trail to Nebo Trail to East Ridge Trail.
The East Ridge Trail and the North Country Trail follow the same route east for approximately three quarters of a mile. At that point, the East Ridge Trails turns north, and the North Country Trail continues east. A quarter of a mile after diverging from East Ridge Trail, the NCT crosses East Boundary Trail then continues east approximately 1 mile and exits the park.
