More Information
The Giant Pines Loop is a 3.8-mile hiking trail that offers visitors the sights and sounds of hemlocks, bubbling streams and surrounding wildlife. The trail also has two giant white pine trees, how the trail got its name, that have been there since the logging era in the late 1800s. The trail can be accessed from the Upper Falls day-use area or at the Stables picnic area. In the winter, the trail is groomed for cross-country skiing and portions are integrated into the lantern-lit cross-country ski and snowshoe program typically offered every Saturday in February.
