Most sites are generous in size and are shaded by oaks and pines. There is 30- or 50-amp service available on each site and a sanitation station. There are four ADA-accessible sites located in the west end of the campground near an accessible modern toilet and shower building
The day-use area is located directly across M-25/Port Austin Road and features half a mile of sandy shoreline stretching along Lake Huron’s Saginaw Bay, a beach house and a picnic area. A pedestrian overpass bridge provides easy access.
There is also a mini cabin and the Tentrr safari tents that offer unique overnight experiences.
About the Area
Seven state boating access sites, one state dock and several public fishing piers are located within a short drive from the park. Saginaw Bay provides excellent perch, walleye, salmon and lake trout fishing. The nearby Pigeon and Pinnebog rivers and the shoreline of Saginaw Bay are popular with paddlers. Many rustic trails are located in the adjacent Rush Lake State Game Area. Five miles to the west is the small resort town of Caseville.
