Pontiac Lake-Equestrian Trail
Pontiac Lake Recreation Area
A 17-mile trail winding and climbing through a variety of open and wooded areas. The trail features two tunnels for safe passage under roads and connects to Indian Springs Metropark.
More Information
The 17-mile equestrian trail winds and climbs through a variety of old farm fields, marshes, lakes and heavily forested areas marked with blue trail markers. The terrain is rocky in some sections and at times considered moderately challenging. There are two tunnels on the trail system that allow for safe passage under roads and access to the trails on the west side of the park, which connect to Indian Springs Metropark for an additional 2.5 miles of riding. Parking is available year-round at the staging area located on Teggerdine Road between White Lake Road and Pontiac Lake Road and seasonally at the campground staging area.
Thanks to the Pontiac Lake Horseman's Association for maintaining the equestrian trails. Follow PLHA on Facebook.
