The White Birch Nature Trail is located inside Young State Park in Charlevoix. The short, 1.5-mile trail winds past Lake Charlevoix, providing easy access to the water. The trail also offers scenic views of Boyne City, Avalanche Peak and the surrounding wilderness. The White Birch trail is perfect for visitors who are visiting the beach and the day-use area, especially families with children as the terrain is relatively easy. The trailhead can be found near the boat launch in the Terrace Campground. Hiking and cross-country skiing are permitted on the pathway.
