The Laughing Whitefish Falls Trail is a half-mile trail that begins at the parking area and leads to the observation platforms overlooking Laughing Whitefish Falls (1 mile round-trip). The natural-surface trail travels through beech-maple forest and is open to hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The trail connects to a 1.9-mile spur trail that leads to the The North Country Trail, which runs through the north end of the park. This national scenic trail hiking route from North Dakota to New York includes more than 1,500 miles in Michigan.
