Young-Spruce Modern Campground
Young State Park
More Information
Due to a planned park enhancement project to fix drainage issues and replace both toilet/shower buildings, the Spruce campground is closed through June 15, 2025. A proposed $2.82 million in federal relief funding from Gov. Whitmer's Building Michigan Together Plan made these renovations and others possible.
This modern campground, divided into four loops, is popular with larger groups because of its open sites. The campground is located near Lake Charlevoix, the sports field and the day-use are. All three campgrounds are popular with boaters due to Lake Charlevoix access. There is an overflow parking lot (first come, first served) where boats can be stored. Recycling and refuse disposal are available.
