Due to a planned enhancement project to upgrade the water, sewer and electrical systems, the modern campground and cabins will close Aug. 18, 2025 through July 20, 2026.. A proposed $2.651 million in federal relief funding from Gov. Whitmer's Building Michigan Together Plan made renovations possible.
The Lakeview Cabin, located about 50 feet from Lake Hudson, is on site #19 in the park's semimodern campground. The cabin sleeps up to three people and includes one full-size and one twin bed.
The campground has access to vault toilets and a hand pump for water. The campground is open April 1 to Nov. 30. There is no heat. There is one electrical outlet inside and one outside.
Guests are required to provide their own bedding and cookware.
About the Area
You'll find small town charm in the rural community of Hudson. Located 7 miles west of the park, visitors will find a grocery store, restaurants, a movie theatre and lots of history. The entire downtown was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
