This rustic campground is located in a hilly, wooded area on the shores of Long Lake. Located in Wexford County, 8 miles north of Cadillac.

This campground is managed by Mitchell State Park.

This rustic campground is located in a hilly, wooded area on the shores of Long Lake. There are excellent opportunities for fishing, boating and paddle sports. The Long lake Wexford Motorized Cycle Trail can be accessed directly from the campground. There are 12 sites for tent and small trailer use. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 8 miles north of Cadillac via Long Lake Road and Old US-131.strong>Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.

Fishing

Fishing: Pike and panfish are caught in Long Lake.

Hunting

Hunting: This campground provides access to state land open to hunting. Firearm hunting is not allowed within 450 feet of an occupied dwelling. Learn more about hunting.

ORV Trails/Routes

ORV Trails/Routes: There are many miles of county roads and designated ORV trails in this area including the The Long Lake Motorcycle Trail is accessible from the camground and offers 27 miles of motorcycle trail. Other nearby motorcycle trails include Missaukee Junction Trail (currently closed) and Grand Traverse Motorcycle Trail and Route. ORVs can be ridden from your campsite to access these routes. Paddlesports

Paddlesports: Paddling is available on Long Lake; however, the water level can be low in late summer. Additional paddling opportunites include the Manistee River that is located approximately 10 miles from the campground, just a mile north of Manton on US131 near the MDOT rest stop.
