Situated along the banks of the Baldwin River, this rustic campground offers great opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and fishing. Located 2.3 miles northeast of Baldwin.

This campground is managed by the Baldwin Field Office.

More Information

This secluded campground, situated along the banks of the Baldwin River, offers good trout fishing and opportunities for hiking and mountain biking on the Pine Forest Pathway. Access to the Baldwin River is located on the east side of the campground and down a set of stairs, adjacent to the day-use area.

There are nine sites for tent and small trailer use. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 2.3 miles northeast of Baldwin via M-37, Merriville Road and 40th Street. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.

Fishing

Fishing: The confluence of Bray Creek and the Baldwin River run adjacent to the campground. Trout fishing is popular in this area. Other nearby fishing opportunities include Leverentz Lakes (.5 miles east) and the Pere Marquette River (5 miles south).

Hunting: This campground provides access to state land open to hunting. Firearm hunting is not allowed within 450 feet of an occupied dwelling. Learn more about hunting.

Off-Road Vehicle Trails/Routes

Off-Road Vehicle Trails/Routes: There are many miles of county roads and designated ORV trails in this area, including Little O/ Big O (4 miles northwest) with 40+ miles of motorcycle trail and 30 miles of cycle/ATV trail, Tin Cup Springs (9 miles northeast) with 21 miles of motorcycle trail and 26 miles full-sized vehicle ORV route, Little Manistee (11 miles north) with 46 miles of motorcycle trail and 47 miles of full-sized vehicle ORV route with a connector trail to Lincoln Hills. ORV can be ridden from a campsite to access these routes. All other ORV use within the campground is prohibited. Find more information about Off-Road Vehicles.

Paddling

Paddling: Explore the Baldwin River from the campground. Carry-in access is located adjacent to the day-use parking area, down a short set of stairs. The small parking area can accommodate 2-3 vehicles.
