This rustic campground is located on Jackson Lake and offers opportunities for fishing and paddling. Located in Montmorency County, 6 miles north of Atlanta.

The campground is managed by Clear Lake State Park.

Located along the edge of Jackson Lake, this rustic campground offers boating and fishing opportunities. Additionally, miles and miles of scenic hiking pathways and an off-road vehicle trail can be accessed from the campground. Great hiking and mountain biking opportunities include Clear Lake/Jackson Lake Pathway and High Country Pathway.

There are 18 sites for tent and small trailer use, 15 of which will accommodate a 40-foot long vehicle or trailer. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 6 miles north of Atlanta via M-33.Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.

Fishing

Fishing: Smallmouth bass and panfish are caught in Jackson Lake. Other nearby fishing opportunities include Clear Lake (3 miles northeast) and Rush Lake (4 miles northeast).

Hiking

Hiking: Hiking opportunities include Clear Lake/Jackson Lake Pathway with 7.5 miles of rolling-to-hilly terrain and High Country Pathway with more than 70 miles of varied terrain which connect ten campgrounds. Both trails are open to non-motorized use.

Hunting

Hunting: This campground provides access to state land open to hunting. Firearm hunting is not allowed within 450 feet of an occupied dwelling. Learn more about hunting.

Off-Road Vehicle Trails/Routes

Off-Road Vehicle Trails/Routes: The campground connects directly to the Atlanta ATV Trail (71 miles of cycle/ATV trail) and the Brush Creek Route (35 miles of full-sized vehicle ORV route). ORVs can be ridden from the campground to access these routes. All other ORV use within the campground is prohibited.
