Situated on the banks of the Huron River, this rustic campground offers great opportunities for fishing. Located in Baraga County 6.7 miles east of Skanee.

This campground is managed by Baraga State Park.

This secluded, rustic campground is on the pristine Huron River watershed and is very popular among fishermen for trout and steelhead runs. This great destination provides ease of access to a wilderness wonderland for hikers, hunters, ORV and outdoor enthusiasts.

There are 21 sites for tent and small trailer use. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 6.7 miles east of Skanee via Skanee Road and Erick Road. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.

Hunting

Hunting: This campground provides access to state land open to hunting. Firearm hunting is not allowed within 450 feet of an occupied dwelling. Learn more about hunting.

ORV Trails/Routes

ORV Trails/Routes: This campground is an excellent destination to establish as a base camp for access to ORV riding opportunities in Baraga and Marquette Counties. There are many miles of trails and routes in this area. ORVs can be ridden from your campsite to access these routes. All other ORV use within the campground is prohibited.
