This well-marked trail is in Gladwin County, within Trout Lake State Forest Campground. The trailhead is located 3 miles northeast of Meredith. Enjoy the 2.8-mile trail as it winds through pine forests and along Hoister Lake and Trout Lake.

The Trout Lake Pathway encircles Trout Lake and Hoister Lake near Meredith, Michigan. The pathway has two loops totaling 2.8 miles and there are multiple trail access points along the pathway. The well-marked trail leads hikers up hills and through narrow forested sections of trail. Visitors to the Trout Lake Pathway will enjoy a quiet escape from the city when they step foot along the path and see stunning views of Hoister Lake atop a bluff. The Gladwin Field Trial Area is adjacent to the trail. Learn more about designated field trial area rules.
While dispersed camping is not allowed, visitors can spend the night at two state forest campgrounds along the way; Trout Lake or House Lake.
