Lake Mary Plains Pathway

A 1.8-mile segment of the Lake Mary Plains Pathway has closed due to unsafe bridge and boardwalk conditions. The closure is between pathway intersections 7 and 8, impacting the northern loop around Glidden Lake. There are no re-routes. Please check back for updates. (Updated 7/18/2024)
This enchanting pathway is surrounded by tall pines and tranquil waters. It is located in the Glidden Lake State Forest Campground in Iron County, just 6 miles east of Crystal Falls. It is located approximately one mile south of Highway M-69 on Lake Mary Road.
This pathway is managed by Bewabic State Park.
More Information
This pathway winds through the tall pines of Crystal Falls State Forest passing the tranquil waters of Glidden Lake. The pathway provides a prime setting for activities such as hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Along the pathway visitors may see a variety of birds and wildlife. Many visitors will use the pathway to gain access to the forest and lake for fishing, swimming and hunting.
