More Information

Due to a planned enhancement project to replace the toilet building adjacent to the designated swimming beach on Lower Trout Lake, the beach area inside the day-use area is closed Sept. 3, 2024 to May 23, 2025. A proposed $3.9 million in federal relief funding from Gov. Whitmer's Building Michigan Together Plan made these and other renovations possible.

There are two rustic cabins available in the park:

Arrowroot rustic cabin - sleeps 20

This electricity-free cabin includes a view of the lake, screen windows, 4 triple bunk beds, 4 double beds, counter tops, cabinets and table/chairs. There is also a woodstove and the wood is provided by the park (gathering wood is allowed as well) in the colder months. In addition, a hand pump for water, vault toilet, 2 picnic tables, a grill and a fire ring are available outdoors. There are 12 parking spaces 100 yards away.

Morel rustic cabin - sleeps 20

This electricity-free cabin include a view of the lake, screen windows, 6 triple bunk beds, 2 single beds, a deck, counter tops, cabinets, table/chairs. here is also a woodstove and the wood is provided by the park (gathering wood is allowed as well) in the colder months. In addition, a hand pump for water, vault toilet, 2 picnic tables, a grill and and a fire ring are available outdoors. There are 12 parking spaces 100 yards away.
