Wilderness-Wiikenhs Trail
Wilderness State Park
More Information
Wiikenhs Trail runs from Big Stone Trail to Nebo Trail through a hardwood and conifer forest. The abundance of flowers along this trail and the ease accessing it make it one of the most popular out-and-back trails in the park. A hiking route that includes Red Pine, Nebo, Wiikenhs and Big Stone trails is slightly over 3 miles and brings you back to where you started. If you are a biker, then a 7-mile route that includes Swamp Line, South Boundary, Nebo, Wiikenhs and Big Stone trails will bring you back to where you started. Wiikenhs Trail itself has very little elevation change and a firm surface, making it a low-intensity trail.
This trail is readily accessible from the trailhead near the Pines Campground, the Full Hook-Up Campground and the Tent-Only Campground and from the Nebo Trail head.
