Wilderness-South Boundary Trail
The trail runs primarily through lowlands, with sections of dense cedar and tamarack cover and areas of more open but wooded marshland.
More Information
The South Boundary Trail stretches 2 miles from Swamp Line Trail on the west end to the convergence of Nebo, East Boundary and O’Neal Lake trails on the east end. The trail runs primarily through lowlands, with sections of dense cedar and tamarack cover and areas of more open but wooded marshland. The east and west ends of this trail rise into red pine forests, as do two elevated islands near the midsection. The trail is slightly elevated above the surrounding wetland; however, waterproof footwear will make for a more comfortable hike along this trail. Seasonally dependent varieties of orchids, lilies, irises and more can all be found along this trail. Insect repellent is a must.
