The Long Lake Trail is located in Yankee Springs Recreation Area in Barry County. It is 5.2 miles long and is an out-and-back-style trail. The trail begins just north of the area headquarters on Briggs road and adjoins the Sassafras Nature Trail. Visitors will enter a boardwalk crossing a beautiful bog area, pass through an old wagon road leading to Grave Hill and take in the beautiful views of Long Lake. After Grave Hill, the trail leads directly to the Devils Soup Bowl where it joins together with the Chief Noonday Trail. The trail permits hiking from March to October and cross-country skiing during the winter months.
