Swimming:

The modern campground features a designated swim area on Tawas Bay, popular for its warm, shallow water.

Please be mindful of Great Lakes beach safety and high-water safety. DO NOT swim near or jump off break walls or navigational channel walls and pay attention to changing conditions.

Winter Camping Item is accessible.
Winter Camping: The campground is open year-round, along with modern restrooms. The park will assign the specific site number and plow the site if necessary. Please call the park office at 989-362-5041 for reservations and site assignment.

Electrical Service Item is accessible.
Electrical Service: All sites have 20/30-amp service.
Modern Restrooms Item is accessible.
Modern Restrooms: The modern restroom has showers, restroom facilities, a family shower and a dishwashing sink.
Playground Item is accessible.
Playground: There is a play structure with slides, swings, a seesaw and rubber stepping stones in the modern campground. The surface is rubberized with a sand and woodchipped border.
Sanitation Station Item is accessible.
Sanitation Station: The park’s sanitation station is located near the campground entrance. There is potable water available and two lanes.
Water Access Item is accessible.
Water Access:

The modern campground includes a sandy beach along Tawas Bay for use by registered campers. The beach can be accessed from the designated walkway north of Bathhouse #2.

Please be mindful of Great Lakes beach safety and high-water safety. Pay attention to the beach flag warning system in designated swim areas; red flags indicate the water is unsafe and no one should swim in or enter the water. DO NOT swim near or jump off break walls or navigational channel walls and pay attention to changing conditions.
