The Old Baldy Trail is a short, half-mile loop that traverses through a wooded dune area up to the top of Old Baldy. This climb is popular for its scenic views of Lake Michigan. The trail can be picked up at the trailhead opposite the campground office near the entrance of the Dunes Campground.

You can also take the Portage Trail and climb up the backside of Old Baldy. The trail starts at the same trailhead, and you will see a sign that directs you to the dune.
