The staging area is located on Fox Lake Road just east of the Equestrian Campground.
More Information
The well-marked, looped system offers 10 miles of wooded trails in a hilly area often referred to as Hadley Hills. The unique geography was created by melting glaciers. The result is an area with basin lakes, sinkholes, moraines and the highest point in Lapeer County. Some sections are rocky, and spring/rainy periods can create muddy conditions.
Dec. 1-March 31, once the trail is covered with at least 4 inches of snow, the trail is open to snowmobiling. Please note, the trail is not groomed, and only a section of the staging area is plowed for parking.
The straging area and trailhead are located on Fox Lake Road next to the campground.
Thanks to our friends group, the Ortonville Recreation Equestrian Association, for helping maintain the equestrian trails and campground.
