Ludington State Park
This short trail includes an elevated boardwalk that follows a wooded ridge offering spectacular views over the open dunes in the south end of the park.
More Information
The .5-mile Skyline Trail is an elevated boardwalk that follows a wooded ridge offering spectacular views over the open dunes in the south end of the park. The hike provides beautiful panoramic views of both Lake Michigan and the mouth of the Big Sable River and, on a rare day, you can see the sand dunes at Silver Lake State Park. The route includes several sets of stairs. Most of the trails intersect with the park’s other trails, so visitors can easily create longer and/or looped routes.
