Ludington-Mini Cabins
Ludington State Park
More Information
While the majority of the park remains closed for enhancements through July 1, 2025, visitors can still enjoy 2,000 acres of parkland and a beautiful 3-mile stretch of Lake Michigan shoreline south of the Big Sable River. Hiking trails and a boardwalk along the south side of the Big Sable River will remain accessible with roadside parking along M-116 and at Skyline Trail parking lot. A proposed $4.26 million in federal relief funding from Gov. Whitmer's Building Michigan Together Plan made these and other renovations possible.

The Cedar Mini Cabin is a pet-friendly lodging option.
There are three mini cabins located in the park, one each in the Beechwood, Pines and Cedar campgrounds. Each cabin sleeps five people (one double bed and three singles) and includes a mini refrigerator, electric wall heater, and a table and chairs.
A picnic table, a fire pit and a waist-high cook grill can be found outdoors. The cabins have electricity. You must provide your own linens and cookware.
