Garnet Lake State Forest Campground is under the management of Hudson Township. Any concerns or questions about this campground should be directed to the Township at the phone number identified above. This campground contains ten sites for tent and small trailer use and provides vault toilets and a hand pump for potable water.

All sites are vailable on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations are taken.

Fishing: Garnet Lake (on site): northern pike and perch.
Black River (five miles southwest): steelhead.

ORV Trails/Routes

ORV Trails/Routes: Newberry-Rexton Trail (one mile southeast): 66 miles of motorcycle trail only and five miles of rull-sized vehicle ORV route.

Watchable Wildlife

Watchable Wildlife: Big Knob Forest (18 miles southwest) provides opportunity for viewing bald eagles, gulls, deer, black bear and more along lakeshore, dunes and woods. Exotic animal farm south of Rexton offers children and families an exciting opportunity to view non-native wildlife species.
