Twin Lakes-Modern Campground
Twin Lakes State Park
More Information
Due to planned park enhancements, including a new toilet shower building and upgraded sewer system, the modern campground and mini cabin will close for the 2025 season. A proposed $1.9 million in federal relief funding from Gov. Whitmer's Building Michigan Together Plan made these and other renovations possible.
The entrance to the modern campground is located at 32650 N. Hwy M-26 in Toivola. Some online resources provide an address on Poyhonen Road. This road is a logging road and it’s very difficult to turn around, especially for campers.
The modern campground, which sits along the west of shore of Lake Roland, includes a handful of lakefront sites. The campground is located near the designated swimming beach, a boating access site and a picnic area. There is 20- and 30-AMP service on all sites and 50-AMP service on some sites. There is a sanitation station available too.
